Assalamu’alaikum. Wr. Wb.

Who doesn’t know Bill Gates? According to the Forbes Magazine and Time Magazine, Bill Gates is one the richest people in the world. He earns $ 300 every second. It means Bill Gates’ income is $777,600,000 for a month. Can you imagine it? Bill Gates is a founder and the president director of a big software company, Microsoft. In other words, Bill Gates is an entrepreneur. Actually, his success isn’t overnight success. Many obstacles, critics, and comments come to him. But, with his struggle, he can hit to the top of his carrier.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Based on the Forth Edition of Oxford Dictionary, enterpreneur is a person who starts business. In the fact, most of the richest people in the world and Indonesia are entrepreneurs. Having no capital, having no popularity, competing with other big entrepreneurs are some obstacles that they must face. Many newbie entrepreneurs give up when they face those obstacles. Actually, it’s all about our entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship is the biggest capital of being an entrepreneur. But, the biggest question is how. How to build entrepreneurship? As I believe, there are four ‘I’s to build entrepreneurship namely information, intelligence, intuition and initiative.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Information is the beginning step of getting a big opportunity. In this modern era, we can get information easily from many sources. Advertisement, television, a piece of newspaper, and internet can inspire us to think about fresh ideas. Even we talk to others passionately, we have already opened the gate of informaton. Like a proverb said; “Don’t wait the ball comes to you, but take the ball away from your enemy”. It means we should find the opportunity and use it as maximum as possible. Don’t wait for the coming of opportunity! Find it by ourself!

Ladies and Gentlemen:
Here we talk about the second ‘I’, intelligence. Talking about intelligence, it’s not about IQ at all but also ability to solve problems, to adapt and learn from our daily life. The most important is what can we learn from the problems that we have faced so that the problems will not block us anymore in the next time. Unfortunately, intelligence can descend as the time goes by. To keep it well, we need to read information and learn continuously.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
The next ‘I’ is intuition. Intuition is an ability to know and understand something quickly. Some people were borned with good intuition. But, intuition can be learned and improved by all the people. The key is we should practice. Intuition is needed in the condition when the entrepreneur must solve problems and decide the solutions in the short time and in the pressure.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
The last ‘I’ is initiative. If many problems come to us with the same reasons, don’t wait for our employers solve it for us. We must be pioneer. Being a pioneer is very important to be an entrepreneur. Because the control is in our hand, we must be the first person who solve the problems in our business.

Ladies and Gentlemen
Based on ‘Badan Pusat Statistik’ data on March 2011, 8% of Indonesian are unemployment while only 0.18% of Indonesian are entrepreneurs. Unfortunately, a developing country like Indonesia should have about 2% entrepreneurs from the citizen to be a wealth modern country. The high number of entrepreneurs can be an indicator of modern country. So, the government should socalize the importance of being entrepreneurs to the citizen.

Ladies and Gentlemen
In short, being an entrepreneur is the good solution for us to have better prosperity. Information, intelligence, intuition and initiative are the four things that we should have and learn to be an entrepreneur. Trust me, entrepreneurship can decrease or maybe irredicate unemployment in Indonesia.
